December 19 from 10 am – 5 pm I will open the doors of the studio to friends that want to stop in, visit, have a refreshment and do a little Christmas shopping. This year guests will also have a chance to meet and pick up the work of a number of maker friends and family members. Joining our merry gathering will be Reid Barnhart- bringing her jackets and hats- worn as equally well by both men and women; Carl Block potter and maker of folk art inspired (and very much collected) face jugs, Shannon Drawe (my better half) a photographer by trade and a metal worker by craft will have his wind bells at this show; my parents Charles and Patti Kregel will bring their work- Dad makes Shaker style boxes and trays using traditional Shaker techniques, and Mom creates both quilted table top pieces and intricately jeweled decorative Christmas trees. Also at the Open House will be my friend Jennifer Morales, she has launched a new line of exquisite pillows and home wares that incorporate vintage silk ties; and my friend and long time Christmas show guest Deborah Savarese will be back with her line of Enlightened Visions herbal and aromatherapy products.
I am so excited to have this group there with me- and I hope you will find a way to fit a visit to the studio on Saturday. The studio is located at 2400 Denison St. Denton, TX 76201- the shop is out back and faces Fain street. Look for the blue awning and signs and please park on the street around the studio.
