Final Two Shows of 2017

The last two shows of 2017 are almost here. December 1,2 and 3 I will be at the Randy Brodnax and Friends Christmas Art Show at the Sons of Hermann Hall in Deep Ellum Dallas. This is a fantastic event with art, music, food and drink. Find more details HERE. If you hate parking in Dallas, there is valet parking at the Friday night opening of the show! Then on Saturday December 9 from 10am – 5pm, my backyard and studio will play host to Leslie’s Backyard and Studio Art Show (clever name, eh?) I will have 14 guest artists […]

Batchwork

I work in batches in my studio. Once I have worked on a design- sketching, prototyping, making a rough pattern, tweaking the pattern, etc- then it is time for a small batch. Making one of something doesn’t make sense except in those early phases of design. Here is a small batch of my “5 Petal” small bags in the process of being constructed.

It will not be hot forever

Here in North Texas it is hot this time of year so I indulge in eating frozen blueberries and dreaming of cooler temps- (when I am not working in the studio under the AC). Speaking of cooler temps- my fall calendar is taking shape with a few shows that are yearly events and a new one or two. I have listed these on my “find us” page- so you can mark your calendars now. And if you have not signed up for my newsletter you can do that too right here on the website. Stay cool, ya’ll.
