Hats are back
I spent Black Friday searching for the sweaters to make a new batch of hats. Raw materials determine the final product, so it can be a real easter egg hunt- the right colors, weights, textile blends that will eventually get washed and dried and cut up. How long does it take to make a hat? Studio Open House
The Cimarrona Studio will be open for visitors and guests to stop in for a refreshment and do a little shopping on Saturday December 20 from 10 – 5:00. I still have plenty of lovely hats, scarves and other warm goodies- and my friend Deborah Savarese will have her New Moon line of organic body care products there as well. I hope you can come by! Batch work
Although it is hard to call doing what you love “work”, I find that creating batches of hats an efficient way to work. I started creating groups of sweaters that had colors and textures that worked well together. Here is a “batch” of cakes. If you look closely you will see certain colors repeated in this batch.
