A few weeks ago I was set up at The Dallas Flea for a great sale over at South Side on Lamar. There, Terry Cohen happened by my booth and became attached to the hats I was making. She wanted them in her shop: Curiosities. So, the next week I trot on over to Abrams Rd. in the Lakewood area of Dallas to bring a selection of hats for her to carry. Hats were selling before I’d walked out the door. That was pretty cool. But what was REALLY cool was this store. It had the most amazingly cool collection of stuff. Everything from vintage Christmas ornaments to taxidermied chickens. I wandered through the store like a kid in a candy shop. Since that initial visit I’ve made two more trips to bring more wooly wearables. If you have a moment to spare and you hate malls, you should go check out this great place.
