The Denton Record Chronicle Arts writer Lucinda Breeding called the other day to set up a meeting to talk about the work I do at Cimarrona. She was writing a piece to coincide with Earth Day that focused on folks that use recycled materials in their work. We met at Jupiter House coffee shop and had a nice chat. She then scheduled a photo shoot at the studio. Barron Ludlum came by and did the shoot. The article is in today’s Denton Time and I am on the cover surrounded by some little friends. Pretty cool, huh? The shot is in front of the door my sister and I painted, at the studio (aka Dad’s Shop).
If you get the paper and you want me to sign it, bring it by the studio and I’d be happy too. (Just kidding) Also, a disclaimer here: although I was described as being an “artist”, I make the distinction and consider myself a crafts person more than an artist- my work being mostly utilitarian.
Happy Earth Day Everyone!
